The tax resolution business can be a very nasty business. Having represented thousands of clients before the IRS and the United States Tax Court, our Co-Founder and CEO Craig Smalley, has been admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent, is a Certified Estate Planner, and a Certified Tax Resolution Specialist. Craig has been in practice for almost 23 years. He is well versed in US Tax Law, and U.S. Tax Court Cases.
Most tax resolution companies are sharks. They use outside salespeople that are not licensed to promise prospective clients the world. These clients will be charged a large retainer, and the company will do nothing to earn the money that they have been paid. When we are retained, our first goal is to find out why a person owes the amount of money they owe. Most times the money is owed because of an audit that was not properly appealed, the IRS did a substitute for returns, meaning that a tax return was not filed, and the IRS filed a return on behalf of the client. These IRS prepared returns are never in the client’s favor, or the original return that was filed was filed incorrectly. Our initial goal is to find out why the amount owed is owed. If the amount owed is correct, we will aggressively try to resolve the client’s tax obligations through an installment arrangement, or possibly an Offer in Compromise, where we negotiate a client paying a lesser amount than they owe.
In addition to tax resolution, we can represent you in an audit, appeal, or United States Tax Court Case. In short, we solve complex tax situations for our clients. During our representation of you before the IRS, our job is to protect your rights. In fact, our trademarked slogan is Let YOUR Voice Be Heard®. We will NOT let the IRS push you around anymore.
